Winchfield Road

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know anything about the estates on winchfield road near Home Park? I've been looking at properties to buy in south east london and was told that that area has reasonable prices for a 1 bed flat. I've had a look and it looks quite reasonable but I have no idea whether this is a good or bad area to buy in.

If anyone can help with any advice I'd really appreciate it.

Many thanks!

Hi

I think you are talking about the high rise (well not that high!) flats at the top of Home park and to the side of the park.... if so, I think they are ok. A friend of mine used to live in one and they are actually very nice and quite spacious - years ago the area was reasonably quiet - as for now, I really don't know. Anytime I drive pass, it seems quiet enough.

Or are you talking about Lucas Court? (what we used to call the 'white flats' as kids!!)

Sorry my reply is not that informative - but I saw that no one else had replied and I thought that was a shame!!

Sarah :)

Thanks Sarah! Was beginning to wonder if anyone would respond! :(

Think we are talking about the same place - 1 of 4 high rise (8 floors) buildings in a light brown/beige brick.

Just wanted to check if the area was safe so appreciate you getting back to me.

Hi Freddie,

I live in Fairlawn Park on the end of Winchfield Road and I think you will find the area is perfectly safe. I drive down Winchfield Road on my way to work every morning and I have never seen any signs of any trouble there.

I know a lot of work has been done on those flats in the past few years so they should be fine.
