People in Sydenham may have heard me shouting on Saturday at a cyclist who completely ignored a Red light!
I am trying to teach my 2 year old how to cross a road safely, to press the button etc and only walk when the green man is displayed! even when there is no traffic! I have recieved the odd strange look as I wait at a set of lights for the lovely little green man! when there is clearly no cars approaching but I feel it is very important to make it clear to my kids that even when they think it is safe they should wait for the lights. So imagine how i felt when my 2 year old pressed the button, we waited for the Green man and started to cross to have a bike go wizzing past us! Yes i shouted at him! and he pretended not to hear!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if your going to ride a bike (and I'm all for it!) stick to the laws of the road. There are children crossing roads and believe it or not being hit by a bike can kill!
