Thomas, it's all your for the 29th. Taking into consideration the previous comments, I trust suitable consideration will ge given to walking gradients later in the evening.
Please let us know if any special training is required for the next meeting...

It's the Prince Alfred.... They used to sell beer, but alas they have stopped. Never been in the Bell or railway (the one near lwr sydenham station?)...I always they looked a bit rough.

The exact route will be decided closer to the time, but I can assure you that no special training will be needed, at least for the walking (there may be some people who might want to have special training for the drinking though).

But I wonder if we should hire one of those stretch limos?

Apologies, it is the Prince Alfred. I've been in once or twice. It had a brief claim to fame when Property Ladder visited. This chap was doing up a place on Highclere Street and he would have a debrief in there with Sarah Beeny.

At least I'm reasonably certain it was in there.

Everyone is welcome, indeed positively encouraged to the next event. This is an open invite to one of the most convivial events of the year. Eeryone who can attend should be pencilling this date into your diary.

I think that was my c0ck-up with the pub name....

Time to "bump" this one up - make sure Saturday 29th November is in your calendars and evening passes are all stamped.

Exact route to be decided after careful reconnaissance but plan to start at 7pm at a venue to be decided and will continue until the early hours on those benches outside the Naborhood Centre.

Forum social - Saturday 29th November

Post by Thomas »

Righteo, the social event of the year should be in your calendars - Saturday 29th November.

Here's my proposed route for the pub crawl:

7:00pm: The Dulwich Woodhouse, 39 Sydenham Hill

The Talma, 109 Wells Park Road

9:00pm The Woodman, 110 Kirkdale

The Windmill, 189 Dartmouth Road

I've sugggested a start-time of 7:00pm for the DWH and that we get to the Woodman by 9:00pm just in case there are people who want to join late, but this gives us a bit of flexibility. Happy to answer questions and consider any reasonable requests.

I'll bring along the usual pink FT so that you can work out which group of strangers to approach!

It goes without saying, but all are welcome, from the usual suspects, the occasional posters and the lurkers out there.

Time to bump this one up. Plenty of things to discuss with real live people whilst enjoying a beer or glass of wine, instead of sitting in front of a computer screen.

This is of course open to everyone, regardless of whether they post, but I especially hope to see our most frequent posters and attenders of recent events, including:

I can't make it, sorry! Boyfriend & I are going for a weekend out of London. One of these days I'll come along to an event and put some faces to names...

I have to miss this time as well (again) - somehow we've managed to schedule hosting a dinner party for 12 people that night, forgetting that it was meant to be reserved for the pub crawl. Will definitely make a big unmissable mark in my calendar for the next one though.

Tom, I'd love to come along and put faces to names, but unfortunately I'll be in Wiltshire this weekend.

I will make a point of attending the next one - Christmas perhaps?

And me? And Mr Savvy; and our friend Alan? We'll be in the Dolphin from 5.15pm (after the Palace/QPR game) and available from 8.00pm.
