194, 202 and 450 bus drivers on strike

You may have noticed that there have been no buses on routes 194, 202 and 450 today. This is due to a pay dispute at Arriva buses.

The strike continues tomorrow with a normal service returning on Wednesday.

I initially thought it was only the 194 that was affected around here: I was horrified to find out that 3 out of 4 bus routes were out of action - must have been quite paralysing for many people

Arriva drivers are striking again tomorrow for 24 hours and then again for 48 hours on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th May.

Plus the 194 and 75 have been on diversion all weekend. It sometimes feels as though we don't have a bus service at all.

Never convenient if diversions mean that the temporary route makes it more difficult to reach a stop that the bus actually serves.

On Perry Hill we have the 75 on diversion from its normal Woolstone Road route - but all bus stops on the diversion are being serviced.

75, 194 and 202 buses seem plentiful this morning which fits in with TfL's announcement at the end of last week that industrial action has been suspended.
