Re: Sydenham Assembly & Fun Palace Sat/Sun 2 & 3 October
Did not realise there was a formal Sydenham Assembly element to Saturday's event.Chris Best wrote: ↑30 Sep 2021 20:58 I am looking forward to welcoming you to the Assembly and the Fun Palace that will be held in person at The Sydenham Centre on Saturday starting at 11am. I wish everyone the best for it and hope it is a success to be enjoyed by all.
On the note Cllr Best makes about an update being provided on the formation of "Bell Green Neighbourhood Forum" - Sydenham residents should be made aware of the existence of a counter-proposal from residents within Bellingham Ward. The objectives of Bellingham's counter-proposal are radically different and have been articulated in some detail.
The Bellingham Ward residents-led group is named the Bell Green Action Group for the meantime - and as is stated on the website - that may alter as events progress.
Details can be seen at:
https://bell-green.org
It is noteworthy that Bellingham Ward is being advised by Lewisham Council that Ward Assemblies are NOT to be conducted at the moment. This was confirmed by Council Officers in writing when we asked about why Bellingham Ward has not had one convened by the Council since February 2020.
