A couple of Cash Machine warnings

1. Be careful if using cash machines on the high street. 3 young guys just snatched money off a guy using the Barclays atm. They ran off and hid but I just saw them come out of hiding and head up newlands Park

2. Honor Oak Post office cash machine seems to be fitted with a skimming device (1 day ago)

Further to that, my wife was mugged at about 4.15 on Sunday afternoon at the top of Tredown having walked down Venner and having used the cash machine. He then ran back up Homecroft.

She had spotted him on the High Street earlier loitering nearby to the Barclays. He said he had a knife. The police advice is to call them immediately on 999.

There do appear to have been a spate of these cashpoint robberies; my sister witnessed one first hand. Fortunately, she had a phone call today from a detective and the police have now made several arrests.
