Food bank

Post by DrowsyDaisy »

Hello

Does anyone know of a local food bank where we can malke a donation please? By local, I mean a couple of miles radius, as we can drive there if need be.

Thanks

Holy Trinity in Lennard road hosts the Living Well charity and food bank. They are excellent people I believe.

I think there might also be one at Christ Church Anerley, but am not sure. I know there's a notice outside Penge Congregational Church telling you where the nearest one is.

The Sainsbury shop set behind The Greyhound used to have a trolley for food gifts. I haven't been in lately, but it was by the cashier checkout so just inside the main entrance door.

Seems to me most Sainsburys, even the little local ones here and at Clock House, have a food bank collection point. Not so sure about Tesco's. Waitrose does as well. Probably doesn't exactly harm their sales, either.
