Someone knocked on our door yesterday, claiming to be ‘authorised by the Council to collect money on behalf of the NSPCC’. He had a dubious looking ID card and a well used laminated information card. Clearly a scammer in my cynical eyes, but perhaps not to our more vulnerable neighbours.
