5 days until #SydArts18 festival programme kicks off

Post by SydArts »

Festival v Football - it's a tough call we know (and that's quite genuine from our MD) -she's a fan!

That aside we would love you to join us for some events, mainly Upstairs at the Sydenham Centre (next to the Post Office) on Sydenham Road, also at Mayow Park & St Bartholomews Church. We open with Exploding Whale’s compelling theatre production Heroes; a story of friendship, growing up and loneliness set to Bowie’s The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders from Mars.

We also have film collaborations with TNG & Sydenham Film Club screening Matilda, and Three Billboards in Ebbing, Missouri, and comedy by newcomers, The Poodle Club bring us Arthur Smith, Ben Norris, David Mills, Arielle Souman & Toussaint Douglas and the loveable Irish comedian Gráinne Maguire.

Head on to Mayow Park for family fun with live music on the bowling green with Lark in the Park, followed by Foxtots Bops. As always, the Artists Trail brings a multitude of visual arts, plus we have our dance/music. Our FREE plus 60’s event with Amanda Botterill and guitarist Alex Hart. Throw in performances by Bristol City Poet 2018, Vanessa Kisuule, singer/songwriter, Jill Jackson and award-winning duo, Witt 'n Camp's comedy and cabaret show, SWAG.

Full details and tickets via our website - limited tickets on the door. http://www.sydenhamarts.co.uk/whats-on

Having so many events upstairs at the Sydenham Centre means the disabled are excluded - unless there is a lift?
