Hiya floyd,
there was a campain going on to object to a houise in Hall Drive being pulled down and replaced by a mulitude of flats/maisonettes, there was objection because the new building was not in keeping with the other Houses etc in Hall Drive, also there would be hardly any parking bays etc for the number of cars that could be needed for the families etc, so there was asuggestion that they could all park in the road i live in (Lawrie Park Gardens) which fair enough is for all to use but we have plenty of people using it for parking already and it would cause problems for the residents who live here, so i signed an objection form, but i haven't heard anything since and thought it would be nice if someone updated the people who had bothered to sign their objection form.
please see below the application details( if i have done it correctly haha)

I have had a look at the drawings and proposals on the Lewisham web site and I can not see what all of the fuss is about. If the current building which does not really appeal to many people can be replaced by an alternative which enhances the street scene - then why do people really object to it? I know the area well and have lived in both Clapham and Wandsworth where parking is a nightmare and this development would not take the situation anywhere near to what other Londoners experience.

If that were true ,why are there 45 objections to the developement?
most people are not against progress but it has to reasonable, not just "lets see how much money we can make in a small space mentality"!

All very well saying x amount of people can live in a small space, but ,you have to consider the parking problems etc
