Will this do?

There are at least two books that cover racing at Crystal Palace, if anyone is interested.

This isn't actually the race track, but unteresting still?

Shouldn't some of these threads be in Gallery and Museum?

As someone with a lifelong interest in speedway, they certainly interest me Terry.

I'd be interested to know the published date of the first picture, because it shows a car park named 'speedway car park' and an outline of the speedway track, along with an area called 'speedway bank'; regular speedway at Crystal Palace ended in 1933, with a handfull of meetings held in subsequent years (the last being in 1940) so was that diagram made before then, or did the speedway connection live on in the community memory long after the sport had departed?

As for the second image, going by the Edwardian style of dress and the size of the crowd, that looks to be a rare picture of Crystal Palace speedway in it's heyday, sometime between 1928 and 1932.

Yes that vid is also featured on http://sydenham.tv/sport.html together with the second part of another saloon race. I haven't added the virtual races on the CP track featured here: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=deu6a1OCwo0 Do you think I should?
