Not wishing to over-egg this, but can we do another nets practice.? Just to familiarise myself with what a ball looks like and to do some general jogging and stuff

I'm not sure where I am going to be able to fit in another net session....nasser did you want to organise one with the team and i'll see if i can make it?

please not at those kangley road nets - i don't like batting while having to keep one eye looking out for a tiger in the grass.

Just a final reminder of the rearranged game against The Dolphin/Dartmouth Arms on Tuesday 24th at 6pm.

It's at the Streatham and Marlborough Cricket Ground. This is on the South Circular next to the Harvester Pub (at the bottom end of Cox's Walk).

I will contact each of the players individually but please let me know if you need a lift there.

If you are short I might be available, won't need a lift there but might need one back (or an ambulance :-) )

Does that wicket take spin or is it a seamers wicket?

Just me Here, or indeed anyone, is most welcome to turn up and socialise. At this stage I think the teams are pretty much finalised, however, there is always the chance that runners or last minute substitutes may be required.
If nothing else, it should be a good evening to watch a game of cricket, enjoy a drink and shout abuse at the players

Ronski, are you coming with your camera? Angela from SE26 magazine is keen for us to do an article for her.

Nasser, have we got a 'keeper? i can do it if you're desperate...though you may want to utilize my vicious leg spin.

I'm just waiting for the keeper from the last match to confirm - we'll then have our eleven players.

I've got a pair of wicketkeeper gloves if needed.

We're all set for tomorrow's match.

All of the team have told me that they are travelling direct but Admin, Pat T and I will go to The Dolphin at 5.30pm with our cars. If anyone like Ronski wants a lift, go to The Dolphin at 5.30pm. But be there sharp please - we will have left for the ground by 5.40pm.

Here once again is a link to the location of the ground:

Me and my mac arrived at the ground - fashionably late of course 8) Sorry to hear that the match didn't go ahead *hug* Still, worse things happen at sea (as we folks from Ooop Norff say).

It was def Dan Ellis that I had email confirmation from, as well as verbal confirmation that the 24th was open from their groundsman.

Incompetent pricks.

Not to worry. At least team players won't have aches and pains in the morning. Well, at least not from playing cricket that is. ;)

Well the DA & Dolphin were practising at least half an hour before the (potential) match. A sign of nerves, me thinks.

So you can imagine their relief that the match was abandoned.

Potentially the DAD's best result of the summer.....a draw.

Sydenham Dragons are raring for the re-scheduled date. Ultimate victory is ours.

I really need some more practice. There must be someone on the Green Dragon team who feels the same.

Anyone want to meet up one evening or over the weekend for an hour or so.? light jogging, catching, throwing,....anything to get the limbs moving.

PM me
