I didn't think Wellbeing stocked a big range of Fairtrade food products. Perhaps I've missed it.

They sell liberation nuts which are excellent (in wonderful award winning packaging) ;-)

I think 2 shops selling similar things can exist in the high street. I'd be more than happy for another bakers, especially after me and my wife being totally ignored in 'the cake shop' and treated with complete indifference. A bit of competition might make people raise their game a bit.

I haven't been in 'the cake shop' since.

I for one would welcome a clothes shop selling reasonably priced casual wear [such as Adini] aimed at women over the age of 30. Another brand is 'IN-TOWN' which I gather is Danish. I've seen their clothes is a lot of small shops in market towns outside London. They tend to be quite casual but are well made and very affordable -similar to M&Co in Forest Hill- which does have a good selection of casual clothes. [btw does anyone know of any stockists in London which does stock In-Town]

Just wanted to add my support to this idea. Sounds great. As has already been said, if you get the image of the shop right it will be a major hit - anything like this which is different, if it's well thought out, well maintained, good image, good signwriting and shop front... well it will stand out a mile from the pound stores and poorly maintained shops so it will draw loads of people in. And it might just make other local shopowners realise that they need to smarten their act up if they want to stay competitive.

Good luck with it, if you go ahead!
