Groundsman _might_ let us play on astro with no spikes for the fielding side.

Won't be pleasant, but we have to beat these pub scums!!

Pub scums? Steady on old man!
We are of course also deeply disappointed that the game is off, but look forward to our soon to be re-scheduled meeting.

Can I apologise for our "overenthusiastic" team member. Our excuse is that:

1. He is Australian
2. He is Australian

And when you get to meet him, you'll find that he is an intelligent, well-mannered individual (it surprised me as well!)

I am trying to get the game rescheduled for 11th June - two weeks time

Heheh!!! Practising my sledging.

What rules do you play, anyway? 3 overs a bowler and retire at 25 runs or something like that?

Let's try get to the nets before the game, then. Wednesday, Thursday or Monday nights are good for me.

I did some running this morning for 5 minutes. I'm now ready for a bit of a nap.
The weather looks/is fantastic outside. Anyone want a chuck-about this evening?

yeah, you're on lambchops. 7.30 at Kangley nets. I really need the exercise and ball practice.

Look for balding fat man dressed in black sports gear. (I won't bother with the red carnation)

Anyone else also welcome....

Had an excellent batting/bowling session with lambchops at Kangley Bridge Road. Confidence is growing, but it also highlighted the fact of how out-of-practice i am.
If anyone else fancies a practice session before the game, the please PM, or post time and date. I'll certainly be looking to go down there again, even if it's on my own.

The DA and D are noticeable by their absence on these boards.

Lambchops, Nasaroc has asked us to book a venue for the cricket for either 23rd or 24th June, as he is on holiday this week. I would have called you this Sunday, but I was trapped without electricity.
I went past the Kent cricket ground on Saturday and it does look like the doggies doo-dahs, but apparently you have another venue to put forward.

dog's doo dah's are different from doo doo's.

Let me explain, my antipodean friend....

doo doo's are what gets hurled by a tramp through your window.

doo dah's are where you don't want to be hit by a cricket ball, but can be utilised for describing very something good.
e.g Kent County cricket ground is the dogs bollo's...
Kent County cricket ground is the dogs nuts.

Whereas Kangley Bridge Road nets really are dog's doo doos.

Hope that's cleared things for peple

Sydenham Dragons vs Dartmouth Dolphins

(i thought i would name the teams this just for fun...)

We are booked in to play at Streatham and Marlborough's ground on the 24th of June.

Dulwich Common, London, SE21 7EX

Could everyone please PM nasaroc their availability? I presume we will aim for a 6pm start.

Good effort Lambchops. Do we know if they have a bar there, or do we have to bring our own refreshments? I would imagine being in Dulwich they would only serve Pimms or G&T's. No bitters or lagers. It keeps the riff-raff out, don't you know
