Cricket Match STF v The Dolphin
I would like to hit the nets on Thursday 7pm. Last time we went to Worsley Bridge Road recreation ground/sports centre. We just turned up and had a knock around on a spare bit of grass. Nothing too intense, just throwing, catching and jogging around. The odd bit of chucking and swinging of a bit of wood was also done. (We also went through the rules with some team members....)
Lambchops, julwz or Nasaroc...?
Anyone want to join me.? Please bring ball and bat as I have no cricket equipment....or talent.

All of you are aware of the new date for the game and the new location:
HSBC Ground, Lennard Road (close to New Beckenham Station) on Tuesday 3rd June.

Be there ready for a prompt 6pm start please. I will be at The Dolphin until 5.45pm for anyone who wants a lift.
We have 11 confirmed players eager and anxious to start, with two reserves waiting in the wings.
The opposition meanwhile appear to be going to pieces. Their manager is reported to be "somewhere on the south coast in a tent" and Mike at The Dolphin is praying that their "overseas contingent" (a number of hastily bought-in "ringers" from the Indian sub-continent) will pull them through. Only rain can save them.
Lamb Chops and AliB - see you on Thursday. Anyone else want to come?

I'm looking forward to it.
I'll be coming from my place in teh car, so nasser if you get any stragglers give me a bell and i'll pick them up.
let's put some dolphin on the grill! the only reason people like dolphins is that the corner of their mouths turns up. so it looks like a cute smile. if it turned down, then people would hate them!
see you at these kangley road nets tommorrow night at 7pm.

Ready and Waiting
A statement on behalf of The Dartmouth Arms & The Dolphin
Despite scurrilous rumours to the contrary from a cleary rattled opposition I can confirm that the 'Double Ds' will field an impressive full strength team on Tuesday. Competition for places has been fierce and feedback from the nets so far suggests we may have to take it a bit easy on you poor people. A little rain certainly won't stop us.
We could however use the services of a scorer for our side if anyone is available.

TDA, the fact that the Dolphin and Dartmouth players have been practicing (sp?) is an indication of how worried they are.
I can Confirm that Sydenham Town have done naff all in the way of practice, and will be relying on a formidable combination of experience and maturity within their side. ...and heaps of luck and rain.
