Registry for making things happen

Post by back_ache »

I would like to see a list of problems that are someone elses problem to fix, how we notify them and the relevant contact details

For example you see graffiti, call Joe bloggs of lewisham on xxxxxx
you see cracked pavement, call Brian Blessed of lewisham council on xxxxxx
you see rubbish that hasn't been collected call Jen-Paul Gautiare xxx xxxxx
fed up with the rubbish thats always outside the toliets by the station call Jenny Eclair on xxx xxxxx
chewing gum on the pavement call Rowland Riveron on xxx xxxxx

let's be a pain in the behind to those that would let our area rot.

Does no-one know any contact details for the local council department whose job it is to fix things, does no-one care?

Sydenham regeneration is in the hands of al of us and if all it takes is a little research to find the right people to talk to and a litle time to contact them why not?

I think its time to make a decision, either its a problem that is the responsability of every single one of us to change or we stop going on about it, which is going to be?

I'll start the ball rolling, if you see graffitti in the area, using the service from http://www.lovelewisham.org , take a picture of it with your mobile phone and when it is cleaned off they send you a text message, simple!

There is an article about it at http://tinyurl.com/dfncn

You can of course also phone enviromental services on 020 8314 7171

Good idea - perhaps if we compile the list of contacts in the forum, the complete list could be added as an additional page on the main website?

For "Street Faults" (covering broken pavements, road signs, lights, rubbish obstruction the pavement, potholes etc etc) you can use this handy webform:

Hi. I'm reponsible for managing most of the environmental services to your area. I'd like to thank you for telling Sydenham residents about our 'Love Lewisham' site. We are keen (honest!) to help improve Sydenham. I know we don't always get it right, but please keep sending us your suggestions for improvements to the services we provide. If you have a digital camera, you can upload photos of particular problems from the Love Lewisham site. We will deal with them as quickly as we can. You can also text us your issues on this number: 07725142920. You can visit the 'backoffice' development site for the Love Lewisham initiative here: http://www.cam2web.co.uk

Best Wishes,

Yes of course. We have an old page http://www.sydenham.org.uk/news_graffiti.html which I will update if someone can bring the info together. There is a page on the anti-grafiiti compo at our sister site: http://foresthill.org.uk/news_graffiti_winners.html. I think some of the pix will appear in Lewisham Life shortly.
