Double glazing; recommendations?

It's time to replace our windows, front door and awful sliding patio porch door in our 1960's ex council house. I have an enormous quote from Crystal, who were recommended and I really don't want anything fancy. So please recommend an established glazing firm to me! Or PM ones to avoid?

If you go down the modern route, Velfac windows are great, we had them at the back of our victorian terrace. They are amazing, very high thermal values and they are composite (wood with aluminium cladding).
