Given the amount of money they are looking for for the premises, it will have to sell something which generates a great deal of profit.
As well as the initial outlay on the purchase, it would also need quite a bit spending on a refurb. As it was a bank, I wouldnt be surprised if there was a lot of 'heavy duty' stuff in there, which would take a fair bit of shifting.
Say £200k for the purchase, with another £30k on top for the switchover.
It would make an excellent pizza place though - or a really cool bar.

Are they selling it freehold or lease? A lot of Pizza express's are made from old banks. But ask pizza or Zilli woudl be good too, or perhaps jamie Oliver may think of opening here, he's starting a new chain of Italian restaurants.fishcox wrote:Given the amount of money they are looking for for the premises, it will have to sell something which generates a great deal of profit.

I'm not a fan of chains (except pizza express, zilli etc.)

I would like it to be an HSBC bank. So anoying the only major bank not in Sydenham or Forest Hill.
Surely must be customers for a return of The Midland to corner of Venner Road. It was my first bank as a child with a childrens savings account.
They can get rid of the two sponging banks that is RBS ( Known to some as Natwest and Lloyds , they have cost us too much money )
