The initiative has come from our local cricket teams, who very much appreciate the chance to play in our lovely park, and are keen to give something back. Already this year they made a big difference helping Grow Mayow restore the part of their grounds which had to be dug up for a new sewer to the café.
Since printing the leaflets, our cricketers have also arranged four, maybe five under 14 teams for the Kwik Cricket, but any kids who want to join in will be welcome.
These teams will take part in a ‘Round Robin’ Competition on specially prepared wickets adjacent to Playground at far end of outfield. Meanwhile the Caribbean Ladies will be playing their Partners on the main square.
And
- thanks to Glendale there will be a bouncy Castle and face painting, while
- Grow Mayow will have a nature trail for children.
