The Bridge Leisure Centre
I visited The Bridge Leisure Centre today with my family. We walked 20 minutes to get there with my young children. We arrived at 2.30pm to swim in the learner pool. On the Fusion website it said that the learner pool was open on Sundays until 3.30pm, after which it closes for pool parties. On ...

And the new Head of School.

It is worth noting that neither the Exec Head or Head of School are permanent.

Re: Pedestrian Safety at Bell Green
I also wrote to Councillor John Paschoud (Perry Vale Ward) regarding this and he has responded saying he has contacted a colleague in Bellingham Ward and also the Council's senior officer responsible for road safety matters, in order to find out if anything can be done. He is going to get back to me.

Secret Adventurers Club at Dacres Wood
Hi I took my 3 year old to the Secret Adventurers Club in Dacres Road Nature Reserve last Tuesday in the afternoon. It was lovely. A great space for young children to play outdoors. We made light catchers with flower petals, then read a story and looked for tadpoles and frogs. Emma runs 2 sessions ...

Pedestrian Safety at Bell Green
Does anyone else have concerns over the safety of pedestrians in the new bell green retail park? I live on De Frene Road and walk across to the retail park sometimes. In the last month or two traffic has increased significantly (particularly on weekends) so that it is very dangerous to cross from ...

The paths in the park in general need some maintenance too. Especially the Mayow Road entrance by De Frene Road.
Great park though. Just mentioning it.

Re: List of drop-in playgroups in the area
Children's centre activities are listed on the Lewisham council website. Type in activities for area 4 and you should get the page. Not sure what area covers the more brockley rise side of things but there is info on that too. Includes the sessions in the new TNG youth centre run by Eliot bank ...

Greenvale School Site
Hi Can anyone confirm what is happening with the old Greenvale School site on Perry Vale? They are demolishing the building and I believe it is going to be a new special needs school and Brent Knoll will move there. Can anyone confirm this and also when it is likely to be finished? If so, what is ...

Re: Sydenham under a new flight path?
There has definitely been an increase in planes flying over our house and they are definitely flying lower. My husband has laughed at me a number of times because I keep saying that they are so low that I think they can see us in the garden. I am afraid I am a bit of a 'nimby' on this one.

Ooh and I forgot that apparently Adamsrill School has a playgroup a couple of days a week but there is no info on the website so ring and ask at the school reception.

Re: List of drop-in playgroups in the area
There is also a playgroup at Normanton St Methodist Church on Mondays (as well as Fridays mentioned above). Think it is 9.30am. Its run by the NCT. Drop in - £2. They have a baby area. Perry Hill Baptist Church has a playgroup on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (9.30am) but there is a waiting list as ...

Volunteering in Arts and Craft Sessions

They need a couple of volunteers with an interest in, and experience of, arts and/or crafts to help out on Tuesday mornings with their workshops for people with mental ...
