Re: Toys R Us
It would be perfect for a John Lewis home store. That would be fab. Think I will email them.

Re: Sydenham features in The Metro
Honestly.....two posts to this very positive review of Sydenham! Yet 6 pages running it down because someone at Cafe Nero deemed it "too tatty for one of their establishment! Their loss.

Ell's Eels outside the Alfred
Just been to this new fish stall. Lovely addition to this end of Sydenham. Fresh cold seafood. Plus hot chillie and garlic prawns cooked to order. Good luck to the owners. Please give it a try.

Re: sydenham needs an uplifting
Ok ok I get the message Penge is great! Ha ha But I do feel that "we" as Sydenham residents like to moan about our high street. Then when someone comes along as in Nando's we all get "excited" then along comes the complainers like "the parking is terrible there", " we have enough car parking from ...

Re: sydenham needs an uplifting
Just realised that Penge does not have nail bars and chicken shops ! Really I think you will find that they have their fair share of both and mobile phone shops and pound shops. Also there are less of these shops because it has less shops because its smaller than Sydenham High st. Penge is not the ...

Re: sydenham needs an uplifting
This is a seriously funny thread! KPR still describing people as middle class and working class by the way they speak and what they have named their children! It reminds me of the sketch from The Frost report with Cleese, Barker and Corbett from the sixties ( you young ones google it). House prices ...

Polling Stations
Live in Lower Sydenham, always voted at Hesletine Or Phillip Neri School. Hesletine is still a polling station. Why have we had to change to the polling station at Sydenham Centre? Luckily I found my polling card or would have just gone to Hesletine. Then would have been well peed off. Rant over but ...

Re: Thinking of buying - need some advice on the area
I live in what is classed as "Lower Sydenham" (which Sunnydene, Highclere etc is) and have no problem with it. Infact have lived here for over 35 years. Never been burgled, never had my car broken into and neither have any of my neighbours to my knowledge. It's a lovely area. The high street is ...

[quote="leenewham"]We went there on our first night in Sydenham, walking all the way up from Fairlawn Park in Upper Beckenham to Kirkdale. Ha ha Lee is that how the big estate agents are marketing FP now?? But then no more bizzare than "Kirkdale Village" or "Upper Kirkdale".

Mind you would not rule out this being closed as well
The Beacon is also under threat of closure.
