Re: Incident at the bottom of Westwood Hill

Let's expect the council to enact/enforce changes after this incident, despite numerous warnings prior to this incident happening.
I stand by the words earlier that I posted earlier. I don't expect to be proven wrong.

Re: Incident at the bottom of Westwood Hill

Countless times I've almost been run over at the zebra crossing before westwood hill, and i've seen lots of motorbikes and cars speed off up Westwood hill, and not look at the immediate road, and instead ...

what would be better is if they cleaned up their sold/to let signs.
They blight the area, and drown it in leaflet and mass mail shots.

Re: Current state of the property market in Sydenham

Brexit is not an issue. Project fear is the problem. https://sydenham.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19403 On a personal note my daughter is looking to upgrade from a one bed flat in FH to a three bed home. She foolishly sees me as a wise sage in terms of property investment. I said, of course ...

Re: Sydenham under a new flight path?

The noise of aircraft heading to Heathrow has got much more noticeable in the last month or so to the point it is waking my partner and I up sometimes as early as 5.30am.Then low and behold a leaflet was delivered yesterday from Heathrow informing of the Heathrow Airspace and Operations ...

Can't wait to see the place close.
In recent months the hoards of anti social behaviour has been detrimental to surrounding businesses who just want to make a living, and not breed undesirables gathering outside - doing drugs, and in one case I heard about, assaulting a pedestrian.

Re: Sydenham Assembly 1 December 2018

One major issue is the zebra crossing just before Lawrie Park road leading up Westwood hill. Personally myself and scores of others are almost run over on this zebra crossing as drivers concentrate on the horizon and not the road. We have to have a deterrent to speeding at this point in the road. A ...

Re: LEWISHAM COUNCIL PLANNING ENFORCEMENT DESPAIR

How awful.
I have deep sympathy for you with this.
You should involve the local M.P.
Seems to me that the people you spoke to are just pen pushers.
Get the M.P involved.
Action should happen.

Re: Gas safe engineer

There are several chimney sweeps nearby (see link below) who perhaps could advise you of a gas safe engineer who perhaps works in conjunction with them being the sweeps, if one is necessary. A person swept a chimney for me which was the open sort with a "coal" gas fire . He might have turned the ...
