Lewisham Council property investments
Just reading the news about Woking Council filing for bankruptcy.

Solar panel firm leaves Londoners in the dark about installations

Re: Public Meeting: Proposals to Complete OLSPN School Building

Re: Public Meeting: Proposals to Complete OLSPN School Building
Perhaps our local councillors and the Sydenham Society could respond? They all supported the decision to allow the Diocese to drag this farce out. I'm guessing the next drama will be how the Diocese don't have the money to do the work. And so it continues.....

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
It's a shame our local councillors and our neighbours in the Sydenham Society didn't deem this civic building at this end of Sydenham worthy of the efforts they put into rebuilding the Greyhound pub. I heard the comment from the Sydenham Society that this building was described as "pretty". Read ...

I watched the stream of this meeting last night. Does this mean if the application was approved last night, the work can start (with conditions)?

Any news now that the 7 days has passed? If they decide to go to the Appeal court for permission to go to the Supreme Court, the Archdiocese needs to do it within seven days of the High Court judgement.

I won't say great news, it is a sad situation. BUT does that mean we can expect and high quality award winning design instead? They can use Brent Knoll School as a template.

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Trying to squeeze primary and secondary school pupils on this small site so you could sell the land on Mayow road for flats smacks of greed and a lack of consideration the pupils and their wellbeing, the Archdiocese should be ashamed. This along with the debacle of Virgo Fidelis indicates the ...

Re: Lewisham planning 400 flats for Sydenham Road
Hardly any mention of Lower Sydenham in the grand plan! Not sure why Lewisham are pursuing this type of development agenda when the world has changed so dramatically in the last year. Interesting article in the Guardian on what is possible with a bit of creative thinking and the recognition that ...
