Re: Labour landslide
Hi Chris - just want to stand up for the quieter majority of people that support the LTNs even if they don't live in them. I hope you continue to introduces measures to improve air quality and make streets more friendly for pedestrians and cyclists. (Can I suggest pedestrianising Sydenham Station ...

Re: Labour landslide
Hi Chris
Congratulations.
Look forward to the traffic displacement consultation!
School Streets in the area - a big yes for me, the timed closures work.
LTNs - Bishopsthorpe and Silverdale ..a big no! I think most would agree, except those living on those 2 roads of course.
Congratulations.

Re: Its not over
OK, but Scotland for example have continued face mask wearing throughout and it didn't stop cases rising.
Anyway it looks like the recent surge is subsiding thank god and it didn't translate into serious illness and deaths this time.

Re: Its not over
Surely your not advocating another lockdown? I don't think the public have the appetite for that.
Sure, cases are high (although coming down) but this has not been replicated in deaths or hospital admissions.

Re: Masks after 19th
Well youre free to choose let me know how you get on. I'm getting on just fine thank you, as it seems most of the country is now too. I had to use the Overground yesterday. About 10% were not wearing masks. Mostly amongst the demographic most likely to be infected. And they clearly are unaware or ...

Re: Masks after 19th
Splendid. It's that sort of rugged individualism that has made this nation what it is. . Southgate may disagree. He's our leader now :D No, I won't continue to wear one after the 19th, and hopefully never again! Well youre free to choose let me know how you get on. I've read that the vaccine ...

Re: Covid Vaccination- Sydenham Green Group Practice
Its not just Sydenham Green KPR, there's loads more of this happening. I'm aware of many people who have tried their luck at links forwarded and have been successful all over London at various practices. The reason why or how I'm unsure, but at this stage with the high level of vaccines this country ...

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic
The queue of cars on Mayow Road to turn onto the High Street today was past the entrance to Mayow Park.
Cars now U turn and cut through Dacres Road. Right past a School.
Such a clever, well thought out proposal.

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic
Regarding pushing traffic onto main roads, and specifically Sydenham High street in this case, I think people forget that its a mix used road, with many hundreds of residential households living above shops and in the flats. Mayow road is residential and has schools. So they suffer even more on the ...

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic
As a silverdale resident, I think these closures are brilliant. In the years I’ve lived on the road the traffic has increased exponentially, as has road rage, The dangerous way people drive and believe they can do whatever they like has also left the road dangerous to cross and impossible to use s ...
