Re: Cat run over on Westwood Hill
I'm sorry, when I went past earlier the poster had gone. So wet overnight, and then windy earlier, I think it must have been washed away as had been sellotaped to the wall. I'll keep a look out for another one though.

Re: Cat run over on Westwood Hill
I passed a missing cat poster on Westwood Hill yesterday, just before St Barts. I didn't read it - not sure if it is new or been there a while. I will look again when I take dog out later, as it may be related to this.
Re: Food bank
That's great - thank you so much
Food bank
Hello
Does anyone know of a local food bank where we can malke a donation please? By local, I mean a couple of miles radius, as we can drive there if need be.
Thanks

Crystal Palace Park closure
I've just been up to the park, and the top end is being closed off. According to the men doing this, there will be no access to the top end of the park from today until Wednesday 4 September, and this is for a one day event being held there this Saturday (Southport Weekender Festival). I understand ...

Re: food waste collection
Alywin, I didn't know that but it doesn't surprise me - thanks. Now, do I put bins on the pavement and cause a nuisance or do I leave them on the path where they may not be collected....so many petty rules, so little time

Re: food waste collection
Sophie
Ours wasn't going to be collected but we happened to be leaving for work and called the bin guy back from further down the street - he said they would only collect if the silver bin was on the street and not on the garden path (where it was very obvious). Gah!

Re: Parking problems
There are also huge problems parking around Kinver Road, Spring Hill, Peak Hill etc given the proximity to the station, also from people using the gym on Cobbs Corner - although this is less of an issue as these people are usually not there from around 8am-6pm. I would wholeheartedly support a CPZ ...

Yes, me! Thought I was seeing things as it was quite difficult to make it out. Glad I'm not the only one. Any ideas why, who etc?
Re: Carpenter
We used Greg from the E Dulwich Forum - you can probably find him on there as he has masses of recommendations. I haven't got his number to hand, but can dig it out if you can't find him.

Re: Looking for any Recommended Trades Man
Hello
I would recommend Maurice Hindes (or maybe Hines). He's based in Forest Hill, and he's done a couple of jobs for us (one big, one small), and I would use him again. I found him on the East Dulwich Forum originally, where he has a fair few recommendations. His mobile is 0756 241 3401.

Kittens looking for loving home/SORTED!!
I posted on this forum back in May about a stray cat who was living in our garden, but we had no luck in identifying her. Over the summer she had five kittens, who are now 9 weeks old and we have a pair who need a new home. They are litter trained and wormed, and ready to leave their mum (who has ...
Found cat
We moved to Sydenham several weeks ago, to the Spring Hill/Kinver Road area. Since we've been here we've had a female tortoiseshell (brown, black, but mostly white) cat living in our garden - she is very sweet and friendly and clearly used to people. I have taken her to our vet to be scanned for a ...
