Re: Fave films thread
Ah, Taxi... I LOVE hearing the Marseille accent! I used to live in Marseille - one of the chase scenes goes past the road I lived on, and the police station in the film is actually the outside of the Lycée that I used to teach in :) My favourite films are: Jean de Florette/Manon des Sources Amelie ...

Re: Child friendly pub?
I suspect the Dolphin was responding to complaints from people who have been showered with dust and grit when kids start throwing the gravel in the garden around! I see no problem with their notices - all it states is please don't let your children play unattended, don't let them run around as they ...

Re: Suspicious Activity Around Westwood Hill / Hall Drive
Further down the hill in Queensthorpe Road, last Tuesday morning my Mum was aware of someone walking just behind her, and had a feeling that something wasn't right, so she stepped to the side between some parked cars and let them pass. She then spotted a neighbour and crossed the road to talk to ...

Re: Taking the Y out of DIY
Hi Tim,
My husband is a painter & decorator/handyman, and if he can't do any of the jobs on your list, he would be able to let you have the details of someone who can help. His name is Fredi and his number is 07721 770 292.

Earlsthorpe Road WWII bomb 1943
Browsing on another website, I came across some info about some people being killed by a bomb in Earlsthorpe Rd on 07/10/1943, but I can't find any more about it. Can anyone else let me know some more? Or if anyone has some pics, could you please post them?
Thanks!
