Seriously loud party going on

Someone is having a seriously loud party as I type. No subtle by any stretch of the imagination, I don't mind people having fun, but this is beyond ridiculous. Just a cautious word of encouragement to report it if it's affecting you too (I'm about to): http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/myservices ...

Re: New Aquatics Shop?

I agree with Lee on this one, I think the sign is nowhere near as good as it could have been. A green sign in the middle of 2 other green signs doesn't seem particularly wise to me either. Is it the worst sign on the high street? No. But certainly not the best. A shame considering what Lee did for ...

Re: SEE3 and Sydenham Town Forum

I think the comment and attitude of foresthillresident are simply wrong, disgusting in fact. A lot of people in Sydenham (and Forest Hill too) give up their free time in order to help the community. In the case of Lee and his wife even paid time (and I'm sure they're not the only ones). We need more ...

Re: Sydenham Road Improvement works update

Good point Lee. I think this will be a great opportunity to unleash the SYDENHAM DRAGON! I remember you said there was no point in doing it unless the road improvements were happening? Surely this will be the right time for it?! Is it ready to make an appearance? I also like the idea of the banners ...

Please Musti, do this!

I like the friendly look you've given it, just like the service you can get there. The pig looks rather good now. The products pattern looks great and I particularly like the fact that you included them in the roller shutters making the most of them even when closed!

I called to make an appointment to have my hair cut a couple of days ago. I was asked if I had european or 'african' hair (I think she used that term). Then I was told that at the moment they could only cut african hair. What a shame, you would have thought a hairdresser will be able to do any kind ...

I haven't seen any sketches either bensonby, but the Budd Mosaics website might give you an idea of what we could end up with: http://www.buddmosaics.co.uk/ As much as I'm sure the people behind it have good intentions, I don't think that a mosaic is right for the building. I think that the whole ...

We considered joining LA Fitness, but it looked rather run-down to us so we ended up joining the National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace Park a few weeks ago instead. They moved the gym to the main building last week, but haven't been there yet. The progress looked rather good though. http://www ...

it just becomes more and more evident that the whole process (at least so far) has been far from ideal. Esentially Sydenham was asked: "we proposed to do the Naborhood centre up, you can have: - a mural - a mural - a mural - or nothing what do you prefer?" there was no real choice! I vote to do the ...

Please not a mosaic or mural showing some naff community scene.... Looks like if that's what we'll get. Has anyone had a look at the link Robin Orton shared with us? http://www.buddmosaics.co.uk/ These are some of the work samples they have. I don't think they're appropriate for the building. It'd ...

The last version is a great improvement on the actual sign. It'd definitely be worth it!!! I know the high street has a lot of room for improvement (and to say that is a bit of an understatement), but unless businesses have the will to improve all we can do is moan about it (and that seems to be ...

Eagle... that's exactly the type of attitude that doesn't help. I like the green wall idea, like Lee I have my reservations about the mosaic hope to see it on Thursday?). Love it in the Gaudi park but I don't think that will be right for Sydenham. Before any mosaic or green wall is done the actual ...

Hi Kente, I want to make a public apology as in previous discussions about the old chemists/kente I was very negative about the shop front disappearing. Thanks for clarifying this.
