Re: Mad Dough
Had a great pizza there last night and my husband had a “very good” coffee and freshly baked pan au chocolat (straight from the pizza oven) this morning! It’s BYO which I’m a big fan of and the guys running it are very friendly. Big thumbs up from me! A very welcome addition to this end of the high s ...

Can anyone recommend a good cleaner?
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good, reliable cleaner? Am looking for someone to come for 2 (maybe 3) hours a week.
I have been looking at agencies but would rather go direct and on a recommendation.
Thanks!

Re: Mamma Dough
I have to say I really enjoyed my pizza (and starter AND pudding  ) at the Sydenham restaurant. I actually prefer them to Franco Manca which I find a bit too doughy. The news about the Blackbird bakery is VERY exciting! I love their cakes/ breads and sausage rolls! Any ideas where/ when they ...

Re: Any news on Mamma Dough?
Great evening at Mamma Dough following a few drinks at the Greyhound. So great to have these places in walking distance! I very much enjoyed (all 3 courses  ). The service was prompt and professional and you would never know they had only just opened! Highly reccomend the Nutella calzone for ...

Re: Any news on Mamma Dough?
Thanks JMLF! Has anyone had it confirmed that they are definitely opening this weekend? Hoping to go if so!
Seems a bit odd that they haven’t advertised it at all on their website/ social media.
Thanks!

Re: New plans for Calabash of Culture site
False alarm! I had another look at the lamp post and it’s an old application dating back to July (so the one which was withdrawn).

New Cafe on Sydenham road!?
I have just seen an application for change of use for 90 Sydenham road (Was Clifton Aquatics) to become a coffee shop called Zigghy Coffee. DC/18/108335 | Change of Use from Retail (Use Class A1) to (Use Class A3) cafe, together with the installation of a ventilation flue on the rear elevation of 90 ...

Re: New plans for Calabash of Culture site
I spotted a sign on a lamp post this morning saying there was a submission for a change of use for a Dallas Chicken in the old Calabash of Culture site.... I was in a rush for the train so couldn't see if it was the old application but I spotted the date September 2018. Does anyone know if this is ...

Re: Sydenham Market
I would love to see a market in Sydenham! Any kind of food/ drink/ Craft stalls would be very welcome!
Just a thought but it may be worth having a chat with the people at Beckenham Place Park who runt the Foodie evenings (hot food stalls) there?

Re: LEWISHAM COUNCIL PLANNING ENFORCEMENT DESPAIR
I really feel for you. Have you sought any legal advice about taking the Freeholder to a First Tier Tribunal? Might be worth researching. I’m also not sure how relevant it is but what about the housing Ombudsman? Might be worth making a complaint with them if it’s the type of thing they deal with. ht ...

Re: sticky:RUMOURS: CINEMA AND NANDOS COMING TO SYDENHAM
I think Nando’s looks great and it’s fantastic to see that so many people have been enjoying it in its first few days. Would be great to see the empty sports shop opposite filled with a bar/ cafe/ restaurant. Does anyone know anything about this site? And any news when Mamma Dough is expecting to ope ...

Re: New plans for Calabash of Culture site
I just logged my opposition and didn’t receive the response saying the submission had been withdrawn.... it may therefore be worth emailing just in case it hasn’t being withdrawn! I feel strongly against yet more fast food restaurants in general for environmental and health reasons. It may well be th ...

Re: The Monstrosity
I am so glad to hear this, thank you for sharing. It baffles me how a new buildso unimaginative and architecturally unimpressive can be given approval. There was so much potential! It really is such a shame. I was hoping it would be like the CoE school in forest Hill or some of the new academies. I ...
