Can anyone recommend a good cleaner? We need to deep clean a recently vacated property. We are towards Lower Sydenham (Kent House Rd). Looking for someone reliable and ideally at a reasonable price.

Something (at last) seems to be happening here. Trucks etc going in this morning and a tree at the entrance being felled.

I thought this application had already been submitted and approved long ago. Whatever happens, that site is in desperate need of work.

I Understand that the landlord has put up the rent at cherry and ice to an unaffordable level. I noticed today that everything except fixtures and fittings has been removed so it seems sadly unlikely that it will reopen. There is a sign up in the shop next to Trattoria Rafaelle but can’t tell if it’s an old sign from a what it was a long time ago (it looks quite old). The sign says something like Childs Estates (ie an estate agent).

Something is happening in the former Golden Grill kebab shop site next to ProGas (corner of Kent House Rd). There is a sign in the window advertising something called 'Mad Dough' which says it is Italian street food and coffee and cakes. Not entirely sure if it is going to appear in that shop as ...

I thought this had already been approved? It seems to be taken an age for anything to happen.

Development on the corner looks like its pretty much finished. Anyone heard anything about what (if anything) will be moving into the ground floor space? I heard it will be for retail.

This is becomming something called Madina Grill. Walked past it this morning. Not sure when it will open but they already have a new sign up.

That dilapidated building next to the Sivyer yard (down towards the Alfred pub/Lower end of the High St)? I thought planning permission had been approved for a new development but no sign of anything happening.

Lots of police cars (at least five) outside Sydenham station yesterday. I walked past around 3pm and it seemed the incident, whatever it was, had finished. Anyone know what happened?

I've heard that this will re-open soon but this time as a 'grill' type restaurant. Not sure on exact opening date but hope it does well.
