For some reason the video won’t open so I have found it on YouTube here:

Fascinating! Steam engines on the road in 1935.
I hope the location can be identified from the brief view.

Re: Sydenham men aiding murderers and drug tafficers to escape convicted
Interesting point you raise Stuart. I was carrying out some family history investigations and came across an 1884 report of my grandfather being assaulted in the streets of Rotherham and the sentence and name and address of the assailant. There were many other similar reports all identifying where ...

'Castlebar' Sydenham Hill
Does anyone know what's planned for 'Castlebar' on Sydenham Hill now that it is vacant and no longer used as a carehome?

Re: Crystal Palace Documentaries on YouTube
Terrific!
Thank you for posting.
I particularly liked the third video and the fading in and out of photos showing Crystal Palace now and then.

Re: Woodsyre Photos
Ah! I wondered why the bus stop was on the ‘inside’ of the pavement and not at the kerbside. Another interesting piece of information Michael. I’m still surprised that with all the photos of houses on Sydenham Hill there aren’t more/any of the houses that stood on the site of Woodsyre. Were they bori ...

At last I’ve found one, albeit not very clear!
Probably 1963 as the houses in Woodsyre were being completed.
The arrowed house is just beyond where 20 Woodsyre now stands.
Any more pictures out there?

Re: 242 kirkdale road
I have found that asking the Business Rating Department to forward a sealed stamped envelope to the owner/tenant. Remember the person you've been trying to contact may not be the owner and indeed may have an interest in keeping the property unused. Address your letter 'To whom it may concern" and ...

Re: Maps
If you're interested in maps go to this site: https://www.dulwichsociety.com/dulwich-estate-maps There are 7 maps between 1852 and 1932 which are downloadable and show quite a lot of detail when magnified. If anyone can direct me to later maps on the internet I'd be grateful for the web address ...

I came across this today.
Apparently Lammas Green was built in 1955/7.
Does anyone know what was on the site previously?

Re: Roadworks Crystal Palace/Fountain Drive/Sydenham Hill
What I cant understand is why is going to take until End of Frebruary to complete! 8 months seem a very generous allowance but when you see the small number of operatives there and the lack of progress then it's understandable. I'm sure a more speedy time table can be worked out. The traffic and ...

Thank you Michael and apologies for the delay in relying.
Terrific pictures which I hadn't seen before.
I've had some me difficulty in locating any photos of the houses where Woodsyre now is.
Even Brian Green the Dulwich historian wasn't abe to come with anything.
Any more out there?

Despite a reasonable trawl through the Forum's search facility I've not been abe to find any pictures of the houses which preceded the current modern ones.
They would date from the 1860s until the 1960s
Drawings or architectural elevations would do too!
