Sydenham savacentre wants to sponsor

Post by dickp »

local community activities, according to an in-store announcement late last week.

From the tone of the announcement, it sounded like they were looking to sponsor an existing group, rather than giving cash to a start-up activity, but I don't know for sure.

Any local groups want to have a punt? Get yourself down there promto…

I tried to get something out of them for a raffle for a local charity and they didn't return any calls or e-mails. After weeks of trying, I eventually got through to a very nice lady who tried to persuade the manager to speak to me. The manager refused to even speak with me. Perhaps they've had a change of management. Here's hoping! This is certainly a good sign. Thanks for the heads up.

It's a "nominate your favourite local charity" form and place in box provided scheme...

Nothing wrong with that as long as you go to the Savacentre (spend some money while you are there, presumably), complete the form and put it in the box...
