Tree chopped down corner of Knighton Park Rf

Just trundling home and the tree outside the shop on the corner of Knighton Park Road is lying on the pavement having been chopped down by what must be a chain saw. The man in the shop said he heard something but didn't know who it was. It has made me really, really angry.

Bizarre! I wonder if someone chopped it down as it was blocking their light? I used to have a tree canopy blocking my upper floors' windows but I loved the dappled light it created. Another neighbour didn't like the leaf drop clogging the gutters of their SHED fgs. So now it's gone

I would report to LBC. Therre are strict laws about cutting down trees.

I have. Last night I called the local Police, they said I had to report it to the council as "the tree was their property". I got angrier. I called the council they told me "the tree people aren't here until tomorrow." i got even angrier.

The tree was still there this morning so, still angry, I called the council, a very nice lady told me it should have been cleared up and dealt with last night. She told the tree people who are going to clear it. Whether there will be any investigation I doubt. Terrible.

Are you angry that the tree has been chopped down in the first place OPer or angry that having been killed it's not been cleared away?

If the former, does the council woman understand that to be your point .... if it is?
