The Art Glass Fair - Sunday - October 19 - Dulwich College

The Art Glass Fair will return to the light and spacious modernist Christison Hall of Dulwich college on October 19th. On display will be a dazzling array of glass with everything from contemporary blown and cast sculptures to some rare antique items.

We will again be welcoming many exhibitors and studio artists from London and across the UK, including Sydenham’s Pippa Stacey who specialises in innovative glass decorating techniques.

In the foyer there will be a special exhibition of ‘Early Engraved Tumblers’ 1750 to 1850, to be seen for the first time in public. Artist Lesley Pyke will be giving live demonstrations of glass engraving throughout the day and on hand will be the renowned Blue Mountain Café http://www.bluemo.co.uk to provide refreshments and light meals.

The College has ample free parking and is close by to West Dulwich train station and bus routes.

London’s Antique, Decorative and Contemporary Glass Showcase

The Horniman Museum and the Museum’s Friends will be attending the fair to raise awareness of the Museum’s collections, activities and events.

To help them along with their fundraising the fair has donated two pieces of collectable Mdina Glass and a richly illustrated book about the founder of this glass studio, Michael Harris. These items will be entered into a unique-bid charity auction on the day.
