Network socket

Post by marymck »

What's a network socket and do I want one? I'm just about to download the free version of flight trader, but are there any bad implications about them installing a network socket on my phone please?

Not a long list of things they do to your phone, but I just didn't understand that one.

Unlike Google translate, which virtually takes over your phone. To the extent that it can access your private SMS and MMS and even remotely take photos on your phone without you knowing!

I've been reading up and I gather network sockets are nothing to worry about.

So I downloaded the free flight radar, but then decided go for the paid version. But with the paid version they do take over your phone. Like Google translate, they can access your phone's camera and take photos.
