dentist

Post by ALIB »

apologies if this topic has been covered before,.but.........

my wife needs denstistry treatment quite rapidly as she has broken a tooth. we've lived in FH for 10 years , but she hasn't registered with anyone. I have had some shoddy work done locally, so would appreciate any reccommendations. Bad experiences at some dentists are as beneficial as naming good ones. Just don't be slanderous or infer anything that may provoke a legal response.
private or NHS, no matter
Thanks in advance

Can't recall exactly where but we have had flyers recently saying a dentist in Forest Hill was looking for NHS customers

thanks eagle, but i was after peoples personal reccommendations (sp.?) It is a real lottery picking a name out of a phone book and my wife is very particular about who prods around her mouth.

Thus, i am not too bothered about cost or if we have to travel a mile or two. I want someone who she can trust absolutely, with her teeth.

somewhere around dulwich would be good..........

There is a very good dentist at Number 3 Lawrie Park Road, where my wife goes, and takes the children too.

A mate who used to live round here, but then moved to Guildford, continued to come back for years after.

The dental surgery above William Hill on Dartmouth Road is excellent - as far as I can gather, totally NHS. They also have a part-time hygienist; all the staff are lovely - very gentle! My husband (somewhat dentist phobic) is very happy to go there!

And I'd endorse the standard of care of the Bolney Court practice, 3 Lawrie Pk Rd - also NHS.

As you can't rely on the Postal service I also now go to Lawrie Park Road :lol: :lol:

Only gripe I have there is despite you having an appointment (even the first one) you can wait sometime before you are seen

We go to VAS in Forest Hill (NHS available). There is a young dentist there who seems good but I find her a bit rough when inspecting/cleaning my teeth. Someone told me that means she's doing a good job.... but it still hurts!
