RSPCA Shop Opens Wednesday 11th January 2012

The RSPCA Charity Shop located at 46 Sydenham Road, London SE26 5QF will open on Wednesday 11th January 2012 @ 11am.

Please come along and meet the team of staff and volunteers who are looking forward to serving the local community of Sydenham with good quality bargains.

Drinks and cake will be available from 11am on the day.

Could we also use this message to appeal for donated stock. We are always on the look out for good quality stock and at the moment we are accepting clothing, shoes, bric-a-brac, toys & games, cds, dvds, handbags and household items.

Yes we are. There is someone at the shop from 10am - 5pm Monday to Friday to accept donations.

It is great news that the RSPCA are opening a shop in Sydenham as usually I have to go to West Norwood on a Sunday to drop off donations.

Will your store be open on the weekends and what will your opening hours be as I would like to drop off quite a few things as soon as possible.

Yes, the shop will be open seven days a week. Monday to Saturday 0930 - 1700 and Sunday 1100 - 1600. The opening hours are the same as Norwood. The difference with this shop is that you can drop off donations at the rear. There is a bell to ring on the back door.

We are really desperate for stock at the moment. We are opening for trade on Wednesday at 11am.

Sorry we are unable to accept electrical items at the moment but this may change in the near future.

Anyone else know where I can donate small electricals or recycle them without driving all the way to the recycling centre in New Cross (apart from leaving them out for the scrap scavengers!).

You could try the British Heart Foundation in Lewisham. They have opened a new store on the high street which specifically sells furniture and electrical items.

St Christopher's H shops do a collection service for furniture.

They are a great local charity who care about people in their last few weeks.

@ rspca: Does one have to find your rear entry door or can the odd carrier bagful be bought in at the front? Also, do you need used clean plastic carrier bags in which to put sold items?

@ rshdunlop: Ald Life sell elec items with an "electrical tested" tag so I guess they take them having a means of testing them as required legally. They are on Syd Road, two doors up from Newlands Park exactly where the pedestrian cattlegate crossing lights are.
