This meeting is crucial to release funding promised to us by the council and will pave the way with the council to support future events.



Agenda:

· identify how we build on what we have learnt for next time

· explore opportunities (and constraints) for how Pop Up organisations might support each other

· how the ‘High Street’ might support Pop Ups over the longer term.

· How we can support learning in the community after the closure of the Kirkdale Centre

· Other news

Hello - I can't make it to the council event but wanted to give some feedback. I went along with a friend when this on and was a bit disappointed. I liked the idea and thought it would be fun. The chalk markings from FH station also worked well and got me there. When we got there though it wasn't clear anything was happening. There was no one on the street spruiking or getting people involved and seemed as though there were small groups in different shops but not too clear whether they were popping up or just people in shops. I thought it could do with more information actually on the street and probably some people trying to get people enthused. So perhaps a stand or food/ drink to get people to gather and some atmosphere then off into the different shops. Hope this is helpful and would go again if I saw it.
