We rehomed a 2 year old cat 3 weeks ago. He is a fairly large, mainly white fluffy cat with a tabby tail and a few tabby splodges over his body. He is micro chipped and has just had a new collar, black with sparkly diamonds on it and his name tag and our mobile no. printed on it.
We let him out for the first time yesterday during the day and he found his way back ok. However he was anxious to go out last night and much to my regret I let him and havent seen him since.
I know it's a long shot, but if anyone has seen him can you please PM me. We are desperate for news of him and although only had him for 3 weeks we are devastated. We gave him a home because his previous owner died.
Thank you

Re: Lost White Cat called Monty
We form attachments with pets very quickly and I can understand how you must feel.
Have you checked neighbouring sheds and garages Gilly as cats love to explore their
new surroundings. Our cat went missing for 3 days but found his way back, we think
that he had probably got himself locked in somewhere. Did the previous owner live locally,
he may be trying to find them?
I hope that Monty finds his way back to you as soon as possible Gillyjp.

Re: Lost White Cat called Monty
Given he it was only the second time he was let out, sounds like he is more likely to have got lost than come to any harm.
Cats have a great homing instinct and Monty may well have gone off in search of his last home. We had a cat once that went missing for after a move before turning up a week later at his previous home 2 miles away.
I will keep my eyes peeled for a cat matching this description.

Re: Lost White Cat called Monty
Thanks for the positive responses - cheered us up. No sign of Monty up till now but we will not give up hope just yet.
I think he has got disorientated as it was a new area to him. We will keep going into the garden and calling him and we have walked around the area and driven around too but no sight as yet.
Thanks again for your concerns

Re: Monty has returned!
Just to let you know that Monty returned tonight - just miaowed loudly and came back for tea!
Trying to be cross with him but can't manage it somehow as so pleased he is back and unharmed
- he has already wolfed down some nice freshly cooked chicken.
