I have been getting bored with going to the same park all the time with my son so I have been looking for a website that gives you information on playgrounds in the local area and allows users to rate the parks. I could not find one, so have put a site together. Check it out at http://www.playgroundreview.co.uk. Try it out out and let me know what you think. It is a little basic at the moment, but I will add features if people use it.
It's a great idea. Trust the first post to see a half empty glass.
I think it could prove to be useful to a lot of local parks that are trying to improve their facilities. The site could do with a bit of help design wise (if you don't mid me saying), I'd make it a bit easier to use and perhaps include a forum about improving the site. But what it does could be a fantastic resource for all those friends of groups out there like Frends of Home Park and Friends of Mayow Park. Good stuff Nathan.
I agree re use of the site. I will develop based on people's comments. One important thing is to be able to see the ratings before posting your own. Can't work this out at the moment. Thanks for your comments.
Would it be an idea to ask for votes as to how clean a particular park playground is? I don't visit them now (kids grown up), however it was disappointing to go to some which were great previously only to find broken beer bottles etc. That was a while back so perhaps things have improved now?
I have added a star rating system and the opportunity to add comments. Hopefully people will record if a park is dirty. I may add the ability to rate over multiple topics as the site develops.
