Keeping the community updated

Post by sfhyouthforum »

I've added our annual report to google documents and made it public so that anyone here can see what the youth forum is and does. There are three annual reports for the three years I have been working here.

I thought since we are asking the public to donate £2 a month, it would be a good start to tell you what we do and what are future plans are. So far we receive £31pcm a modest start but well on the way to my target of 200-400 people giving £2 a month by March 2012. The money will go to form a funding-pot that local organisations and community members can use to provide activities and education for young people with a focus on getting youth involved in community activities, especially alongside other adults. Buzzword at the moment is INTERGENERATIONAL.

We also want to support local services suffering cuts and ensure any gaps on our map where not much is happening are closed by pumping in resources. So if you know of things happening, even if it is a small weekly slot, get the organiser or leader to add their info to our website, http://www.sfhyouthforum.org.uk.

If any of you have ideas on how to gain support from local people, let me know. We have a standing order form than can also be downloaded from our website: http://www.sfhyouthforum.org.uk/donate

Thanks! Melissa
