Culture Space Project Manager

An exciting opportunity to work as part of the Albany team to launch the new Canada Water Culture
Space, developing and managing a partnership programme of events and cultural activity. The
Albany is the leading performing arts venue for South East London, and will work with Southwark
Council to develop the space as a centre for cultural and creative provision and a key focus for the
area’s regeneration.

5-month contract starting in October, minimum 60 days expected with a total fee of £12,000

We are looking to recruit a Play Worker

NVQ 2 or 3 qualifications in childcare or play work, alternatively we
will accept applicants with relevant experience.
(One-year contract based on completion of probationary period)

Hours:
Term time 16 hour per week (between 2-6pm – weekly shifts) plus
opportunity for extra hours during school holidays (8-4, 9-5 or 10-6
shifts) and breakfast club (7.15-9 am)

Rate of pay:
On completion of probationary period
£8 (unqualified) £9-£10 (qualified)

Job Purpose:
Working under the general direction of the Coordinator and Deputy
Coordinator a play worker will
• Assist in the service delivery of the After School Clubs
• School pick ups/ extra pick ups
• Engaging with children between the ages of 4-11 years old
from four of our local schools
• Running drama/ sports/ art and craft sessions
• To be able to work as part of a team to ensure the effective
operation of the clubs.
