Is it too early to mentioned the 'c' word seeing as in my household the word is not uttered until the 1st December? I am sure my family will forgive me on this occasion as its for a good cause ie the 10th Penge & Beckenham Scout Group Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday 4th December from 11am till 4pm at Holy Trinity Church, 66 Lennard Road, SE20 7LX when Christmas will be well and truly launched. It will be a perfect shopping opportunity that should negate any need to venture near a chain store and the hoards of Bromley or Croydon.
There will be handmade crafts ranging from Christmas decorations, soft furnishings, food, preserves, art, bags, leather goods, jewellery, clothes, recycled gift products and hand made chocolate. We have nearly 30 stalls to choose from and a cafe selling handmade treats and quality teas and coffee. For those in the know Jamboree Bakery will be there with West End standard cupcakes at Sydenham prices - that means low low low! And craft based actvities for children (some edible!).
