If the Sydenham Road improvement scheme is now delayed until next year can the council, please, please, please do something about that junction?

It is incredibly dangerous as there is no pedestrian priority. You take your life and children's lives in your hands every time you cross!!!

I really don't think Sydenham residents should have to wait any longer to be able to cross that road safely!!!

Why dont you just walk up the road a slight bit and use the traffic lighted pedestrian crossing that has safety railings in the middle of the road?

Those lights are fine if you want to cross Sydenham Road, but if you just want to cross Newlands, there is no way of doing it without dodging traffic from one direction or the other. I am amazed nothing has been done about this before.
