Just a reminder that you can recycle your Christmas trees in Sydenham at Sydenham Wells Park (Wells Park Road entrance) and Mayow Park (Mayow Road entrance).
Last year the Council collected, mulched and composted over 10,000 trees - the collection points will be operating until the last week of January.

Christmas tree recycling
Happy New Year Chris,
I finally got around to dropping mine off at the Mayow Park site yesterday [it was up beyond the 6th as a result, I fear]. I was a little disappointed to see so few there. I did wonder if the icy conditions had meant that many weren't prepared to drive their tree over or that there had been a previous pick-up? There were about only about 20 there, I'd guess.
I hope more will be persuaded to recycle their tree there as last year I just cut mine up and deposited it in those much misunderstood brown bins. It's much better than just dumping them on the street for the binmen. Will the binmen even take them Chris?
