Got a Sony Vaio?

Post by admin »

One of our users is in distress and unable to access STF because his Vaio has apparently died. Hence I'm posting his request before he hurls it into the nearest canal.

Does anybody in Sydenham or Forest Hill have a similar notebook so he could doublecheck his power supply and battery.

If you have a PCG-381M with battery pack VTP-BPFS8 or similar he would love to hear from you. The number is 020 8291 9915

I was joking.... I really wouldn't deny Mr Nasaroc his opportunity to post....It would give me nothing to do with my life...

thanks to admin and lammbchops for their assistance. But i got the problem fixed.

In case anyone is interested, the mains lead and transformer come apart. I thought they were a sealed unit, but the cable wasn't making a proper connection in its socket. This had obviously been the case for quite a few days, and the laptop had switched over to battery power. After a few days the battery must have gone flat, hence no start-up.

Many thanks for the advice. Particularly from Admin, who suggested i knock the computer around a bit 'to teach it a lesson'.
