Just read the 'fuel stolen from car overnight' thread. (happened quite a lot to me during the last recession) - and that thread prompted me to write this, after reading in The Motorcycle News (MCN) today that:

A chap had just finished filling his VERY expensive (Yamaha R6) motobike with petrol ...

After I mentioned the problem several times to my landlady, (and you're right it is an old house) she eventually had the house checked (June this year) - and a new junction box put in. They found no problems with the wiring and the new RCD is just fine . . I do have an anti surge ...
