After putting up with Transco's roadworks for over two weeks I was delighted to see on Thursday that they had finally finished and were in the process of reisntating the road. However, from Friday all work stopped so I rang Transco to ask if they could send someone witha barrow load of tarmac to finish of the job. They said that as it was no longer an emergency, they would be back within 10 days to finsih it off! Ten days!!
Apart from making crossing the road hazardous, it is virtually impossible to turn right into Knighton Park Road. Locals can of course go down to Kent House Road, but several times over the weekend I have seen gridlock caused by vehicles waiting for a break in the traffic, which never comes becuase of the jam the turning vehiles are causing. Apparently the police were called on Saturday after a dispute broke out.
I just cant believe that the situation will be allowed to continue for another week for the sake of half an hours work.
Transco advised me to call back if nothing has been done after ten days.
