Saints and Sinners Gym

Post by EJP »

I go to Saints and Sinners and would highly recommend it. Its very friendly, and you get personal training initially which is basically a personal exercise and diet plan done for you (at no extra cost). I lost over 2 stone. There are different payment plans but you dont get tied in, if you decide not to go back to are not committed to pay for the next 6 months or whatever. I pay monthly, its £45, which I think for the one-on-one attention you get, is more than worth it.

It's on Sydenham Park, off Kirkdale. I had a look in and its a bit dingy and 70's looking (which totally threw me cos the exterior is the opposite!) and so it didn't really inspire enough to fork out for a membership - the staff seemed friendly however, so don't let my superficial impressions put you off, it might be really good.

I was going to look at LA fitness but you had to make an appointment which was too much of a hassle for me and there was something a bit cheesy about the place.

I ended up joining the gym in the Crystal Palace sports centre - mainly because they were the only ones that had the option of a pay as you go membership which suits me better. Its a nice big well-lit hall with good equipment and its not too crowded, plus you can book badminton courts and other stuff like that when you're a member. Maybe its not got such a personal touch as somewhere like Saints and sinners might have, but it depends what you want.

Hope that helps!
