Now one reconises it. See even Lower Sydenham has some beauty.
Is it not River Pool rather than Pool River. I am sure , knowing Tim , he is correct ?

It's River Pool according to Wikipedia, but Pool River according to the Environment Agency. Dangerously liberal attitide, I know, but I'm happy with either :D

Tim , I was not trying to find fault , only interested why in general the British put the river first , whilst our North American cousins tend to do the opposite.
Minor point I know in the scheme of things. Not sure liberal has much to do with it , but hey that Gladstone gets everywhere.

I know you weren't trying to find fault, and I apologise for teasing you about liberalism - it was a bit strained. I'm also interested by these sorts of linguistic points, even if they are a bit pointless.

Incidentally, it was Winsford Road, not Selworthy Road ...

Thanks Tim
You may not believe me but have voted Liberal and Labour in the past.

I believe The Conservative Party , like Marks and Spencer and The Daily Telegraph are things you grow into about middle age as you get wiser . In my younger days more idealistic but less wise.
