Spanish Speaking Babysitter Available

Post by DeborahDorothy »

Hi all,

I’m Debbie, 22 year old, Hispanic Studies graduate from King’s College London.

I’m currently living in Nunhead and am looking for babysitting work around SE London until October.

From 2010-11 I worked as an English and Science teacher for 5-10 year olds in a Spanish primary school and fell in love with the job and really enjoyed working with children on a daily basis. Since leaving the school in July 2011 to return to London and finish my degree, I have been lucky enough to be contacted by the school and asked to come back and work for them full-time in the coming academic year. I’ve also spent several years babysitting and looking after children in and around South London and have plenty of experience with children of all ages.

I know that many people are keen for their children to learn another language in an informal and comfortable environment (sometimes having them sit one-on-one with a tutor can be a little intimidating!) and having a babysitter who will speak/play/do activities in a foreign language is a quick and effective way for them to learn. I’ve also recently completed my thesis on second language acquisition so am up-to-date on the most recent teaching methods.
I also have an abundance of Spanish books, songs and activities – so we’ll never run short of things to do!

I’m happy to work Mon-Sun and for however many hours you’d like and will be available from June until October.

I have a full drivers licence, am punctual, honest and respectful.

References from parents of children I have taught in Spain and from my supervisor at the school are available if you’d like to see them.

Feel free to contact me at: debsmusgrove@gmail.com or 07427-621-979 with any questions or enquiries.
